 | We are an enthusiastic, expanding five partner practice situated in the
pleasantly leafy, residential area between Wandsworth and Clapham commons.
This location attracts young, professional families and we have a high birth
rate and well above average numbers of young children on our list of over 8000
people. The London Evening Standard refers to this area as "Nappy
Valley" ! |
| Three of our partners are trainers Roger Schofield, Chris Peach and Dr
Niki Salt. Niki has recently completed the new trainers course and has an
interest in research. We have all been active in teaching medical students
from St George's hospital. Chris Peach is active in the PCT. |
| The practice has a full primary healthcare team including three practice
nurses, a counsellor, and attached health visitors and district nurses. We
hold a weekly clinical meeting but also try to encourage a relaxed, open and
informal approach to communicating and working together. We were awarded
"Investors in People" in 1999 and feel this highlights the
supportive and enjoyable working atmosphere at the surgery. |
| We are fully computerised, working towards becoming a paperless practice
and have electronic "lablinks" for test results. Our location
allows good relationships with St Thomas', St George's and Chelsea and
Westminster Hospitals. |
| The practice is situated in a recently purpose-built health centre. In
designing the building we looked closely at the experience of patients and
staff and we are greatly enjoying working in our new, spacious and modern
surroundings. We also have a wide variety of complementary practitioners
working from the practice. |
| We have the resources to accommodate three GP registrars each year and our training
philosophy is for everyone in the practice team to enjoy being involved and
bring their individual skills and approach to the training process. |
